The coach was air-conditioned. Everyone had a numbered seat, but still the Koreans pushed and struggled with each other to get on first.

We had seats at the front and witnessed the lunacy of the local drivers.

The Olympic opening ceremony was on in Seoul, and the event was being transmitted live to the on-board television above the driver.

He was interested in the proceedings too, and looked up continuously while travelling in excess of the speed-limit on the outside lane.

"Can you believe this guy?" Dave was not impressed.

Kyongju was the home of the Shaman Kings. The valley is dotted with first to eighth century burial tombs, resembling giant-sized molehills.
